We understand that keeping your swim spa in good working condition is a priority. With this easy-to-follow tutorial, you'll learn how to remove the filter lid, also called a weir, of your swim spa.

The weir keeps the skimmer baskets in place and debris trapped in the filter area. To rinse and clean the filters, you will have to remove the weir.

Master Spas recommends rinsing your filters once a week and cleaning your filters every month. Filters are a key player in keeping your swim spa water clean and clear.

To get started, slide the faceplate up and out slowly to remove. As you lift up, the door of the weir will fall back toward. Set the weir aside and take out the skimmer baskets. Turn the filters counter-clockwise to remove.

To reverse the process, replace the filters and skimmer baskets. Line up the filter lid with the face plate. Allow the door to fall back, toward the skimmer basket. The weir should slide over the top of the faceplate. You might have to apply some pressure on the top of the weir to make sure it snaps securely into place.
