When summer heat pushes temperatures into the 90s — or even triple digits — the last thing you want is your swim spa feeling more like a hot tub. You want the water at your perfect temperature, whether you're swimming, exercising, or just splashing around.
In this Facebook Live video, Master Spas specialists Ben Gilliam and Mari Cuticelli share how swim spa owners can keep their water cool in the summer.
Swim spas feature a built-in heating system and custom controls so you can set your preferred water temperature. However, during the hottest months, the ambient air can raise water temps — a challenge known as “heat creep.” Fortunately, there are simple ways to manage it. Cracking the cover at night, adding shade sails, and adjusting filtration cycles are all easy steps to help prevent unwanted heat build-up.
For those who live in regions with more extreme summer weather, there's a new option: Temp+ Control. Available on the H2X Challenger 15D and H2X Trainer 15D, this built-in heat pump gives you greater control over your swim spa. It can cool the water so it stays comfortable and refreshing, or warm it for a recovery session. In colder climates, the system automatically switches to the standard heater for added efficiency in winter.
The live session also featured a Q&A with swim spa owners, covering water care routines, vacation prep, ozonator troubleshooting, and even tips for adjusting swim jets for a smoother swim.
Owning a swim spa should feel effortless. With Temp+ Control, Master Spas makes it possible to enjoy your backyard retreat in every season. Whether you're swimming, exercising, or recovering, the right water temperature is always within reach.
