Exercising after an injury or recovering from surgery can be painful. Aquatic therapy can be an effective way to exercise without the stress of moving on land, thanks to water's natural properties. A swim spa by Master Spas allows you to bring your aquatic therapy routine home.

In this video, Ben and Mari talk about the healing benefits of water exercise and how to use a swim spa for water therapy.

Benefits of using a swim spa for rehab and recovery:

Adjustable water temperature for aquatic therapy. Most Master Spas swim spas can be set to a temperature up to 99 degrees. If you have a dual-zone swim spa, the hot tub side can go up to 104 degrees. When it comes to aquatic therapy, the ideal water temperature is around 92 degrees.

Increased depth for added buoyancy, relieving stress on joints. There's less stress on your joints when you are in water. If you are standing in chest-deep water, the effects of gravity are reduced by 80 percent. Buoyancy, as such, allows you to exercise with less impact.

Water allows for better range of motion and flexibility. When joints are underwater, you are able to move more freely.

Convenient access and privacy. It can be intimidating to exercise in a public pool. Using a swim spa for aquatic therapy allows you to workout in the privacy of your backyard. In addition, you don't have to worry about pool hours or crowded locker rooms.
